Growing up with a narcissistic parent is one of the most difficult experiences to name — because from the outside, everything may have looked completely fine. No obvious crisis. No visible chaos. Perhaps even a picture-perfect family. And yet something was off.
Many people don't fully realise what happened until adulthood. And even then, it takes time — months, sometimes years — to slowly untangle what was actually going on, and what it did to you.
While understanding your childhood patterns is important, what matters the most is to see how happened then is linked to what you carry now. Perhaps you find it hard to ask for what you need. Perhaps you put everyone else first without noticing. Perhaps your boundaries feel unclear, or you still show up for your parent in ways that cost you — without fully understanding why.
You may have spent a long time thinking: My childhood was not as bad... Maybe I'm exaggerating... There is no general right answer about what was bad enough or good enough, if you feel anything was off you are right and it is important to explore this
A small, closed, safe space in a group of 8-10 people who share a similar story.
You will be heard fully and without judgement — because to express yourself fully, being seen and witnessed is itself huge part of healing. You will also hear others' stories and might recognise yourself in them. That recognition alone can be quietly life changing. Each story is an inspiration and empowerment tool for everyone present
Furthermore together we explore how to move forward: untangle what is keeping you stuck, how to find your voice, understand your patterns, set clearer boundaries, and step back into your power. Even if your parent never changes, never apologises, and never sees what they did, your story does not depend on that.
Each session is 2 hours, online via Google Meet, in a group of 8-10 people. for a period of 10-12 weeks (please check for the upcoming group as each has specific duration and max number of participants)
In the sessions a facilitator (me) holds the space and makes sure everyone feels safe and supported throughout. What happens in the group stays in the group, no outside sharing of anything what happens in the space is allowed
What is a support group — is it the same as individual therapy? It is similar, but not identical. In individual therapy, the focus is entirely on you. In a support group, the group itself becomes part of the healing. You share, you listen, you witness others — and through that, something shifts. It is facilitated by a therapist, so it is held professionally and safely, but the dynamic is more relational and communal than a one-to-one session.
Do I have to talk? You are never forced to share anything you are not ready for. Some weeks you may speak a lot. Other weeks you may mostly listen — and that is completely valid. There is no pressure, no expectation, no right or wrong way to show up.
What if I get emotional or cry? That is welcome here. Emotions are part of the process. Everyone in the group will understand. No one will judge you for feeling something.
Will what I share stay private? Yes. Confidentiality is agreed upon by every member of the group at the start. What is shared in the group stays in the group. This is a foundational part of how we work together.
I'm not sure my experience was bad enough to be here. This is one of the most common feelings among people who grew up with a narcissistic parent — and it is itself a result of what you went through. You do not need to have had a dramatic or visibly abusive childhood to belong here. If something felt off, if you felt unseen, dismissed, or like you had to shrink yourself to keep the peace — this group is for you.
I've never talked about this before. Is that okay? Completely. Many people come to this group having never said any of this out loud. You do not need to have it figured out or be able to explain it clearly.
How do I know if this group is right for me? Before joining, we have a short 15-minute call so I can understand where you are and answer any questions you have. If the group feels like the right fit, we go from there. If it doesn't, I will do my best to point you in a direction that is.
